Eles\u00a0est\u00e3o a 218 anos-luz de dist\u00e2ncia na constela\u00e7\u00e3o de Lyra e n\u00e3o se parecem com nenhum dos planetas do nosso sistema solar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Antes pens\u00e1vamos que os planetas um pouco maiores que a Terra eram grandes bolas de metal e rocha, como vers\u00f5es ampliadas da Terra, e \u00e9 por isso que os chamamos de super-Terras&#8230; planetas, Kepler-138c e d, s\u00e3o bastante diferentes em natureza: uma grande fra\u00e7\u00e3o de todo o seu volume \u00e9 provavelmente composta de \u00e1gua. \u00c9 a primeira vez que observamos planetas que podem ser identificados com seguran\u00e7a como mundos aqu\u00e1ticos, um tipo de planeta que foi teorizado pelos astr\u00f4nomos como existindo por um longo tempo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Os pesquisadores afirmam que os planetas podem n\u00e3o ter oceanos na superf\u00edcie do planeta como os da Terra. \u201cA temperatura nas atmosferas de Kepler-138c e Kepler-138d provavelmente est\u00e1 acima do ponto de ebuli\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua, e esperamos uma atmosfera espessa e densa feita de vapor nesses planetas. Somente sob essa atmosfera de vapor poderia haver \u00e1gua l\u00edquida em alta press\u00e3o, ou mesmo \u00e1gua em outra fase que ocorre em altas press\u00f5es, chamada de fluido supercr\u00edtico&#8221;, disse Caroline Piaulet.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2014, o telesc\u00f3pio Kepler descobriu tr\u00eas planetas orbitando a estrela Kepler-138.
